  • Yaks are large, shaggy-haired mammals found in the Himalayan region of Central Asia. They are well adapted to high altitudes and cold climates, often used by local people for transportation, milk, meat, and wool. Yaks have long, thick hair to insulate them from the cold and can carry heavy loads over rough terrain.

A yak cart is a two-wheeled or sometimes four-wheeled vehicle pulled by a yak. It is one of the modes of transportation used in high-altitude areas to carry and bully heavy loads. In a Yak cart, the cart is connected by a yak. The driver sits in the front of the cart and the load is placed at the back.
