Walter "Walt" Disney (1901) was an American animator.
Walt Disney was an important person in the American animation industry and throughout the world. He gave his name to the Disneyland and Disney World theme parks in the United States. He dropped out of school. He spent the next year driving ambulances for the Red Cross in France during World War I.
Disney's best-known creation is the cartoon character, Mickey Mouse. Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse and Pluto are also his creations. He created many more cartoons and movies such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Fantasia, Pinocchio, Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, Peter Pan and Mary Poppins.
Besides, he was an entrepreneur, writer, voice actor and film producer. He is regarded as an international icon and philanthropist.
