Mar 30, 2025: More than 50 countries, cities, and groups have promised to reduce air pollution and protect people's health. They made this promise at a big meeting held by the World Health Organization (WHO) in Cartagena, Colombia. Their goal is to make air pollution half as bad by the year 2040.

Agricultural Practices: Certain agricultural activities, such as rice cultivation and livestock farming, produce methane emissions. Additionally, the use of synthetic fertilizers releases nitrous oxide into the atmosphere.

Impacts of Climate Change

Average global temperatures have been increasing, leading to more frequent and intense heatwaves. The warming climate is causing ice caps and glaciers to melt, contributing to rising sea levels. Climate change is linked to more frequent and severe weather events such as hurricanes, droughts, floods and wildfires. What Can We Do to Address Climate Change?

We can reduce our carbon footprint by using renewable energy sources like solar and wind power, driving less, and supporting energy-efficient technologies. Preserving forests, wetlands, and other natural habitats helps to sequester carbon and maintain biodiversity. Implementing strategies to adapt to the impacts of climate change, such as building resilient infrastructure and improving water management practices. Educating others about climate change and its impacts can inspire collective action and policy changes.

Climate change is one of the most pressing issues facing our planet today, but by working together and taking action, we can mitigate its impacts and build a more sustainable future for generations to come. It's essential for each of us to do our part in addressing this global challenge.
