International Women’s Day

Famous Women of the world

Nadia Comăneci is a legendary Romanian gymnast who became the first gymnast in Olympic history to score a perfect 10.0 for her routine. This historic moment happened at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada, when she was just 14 years old. Nadia performed a flawless routine on the uneven bars. The judges awarded her a perfect 10, but something unexpected happened—the scoreboard showed 1.00 instead of 10.00! This was because the Omega scoreboard company had not programmed the system to display a score of 10.00, thinking it was impossible! The audience was shocked at first, but then realized she had made history. She became a gymnastics coach and international ambassador for the sport. Her grace, precision, and pioneering achievement changed gymnastics forever, making her one of the greatest athletes in Olympic history.

Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, she remains a symbol of humanitarianism and love worldwide.
